Gunter Perea

Gunter brings over 15 years of volleyball experience to the court, including high-level international play and a growing coaching career. Before joining WPVC last season, he spent three years coaching and developing athletes with a focus on both technical excellence and personal growth. Originally from Colombia, Gunter competed on the Colombian National Beach Volleyball Team and earned multiple collegiate honors in the U.S., including Best Blocker of the Mid-South Conference (2x) and Best Middle Blocker of the Year in the Sun Conference (2x).

Gunter believes in building character first—his coaching philosophy centers on the idea that being a good person lays the foundation for being a great player. He’s passionate about mentoring young athletes and creating an environment that pushes them to grow on and off the court.
