Roger Peluso

Roger brings a wealth of experience to WPVC, having played four years of Division I volleyball at LIU and coaching for over 36 years, with the last four seasons at WPVC. His coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that players learn best by doing—through playing the game, athletes gain true understanding. He emphasizes that mistakes are not setbacks but signs of growth and learning in action.

Roger’s accomplishments include being named the 2023 AVCA National Club Coach of the Year, 2013 & 2014 Florida Dairy Farmers Coach of the Year, and leading teams to the 2013 & 2022 FHSAA Boys Volleyball State Championships. He also serves as a USA NTDP coach for boys volleyball.

Volleyball excellence runs in his family—his son won the 2025 NCAA Division I Men’s Championship with Long Beach, and his daughter is a Division I setter at Queens University of Charlotte. Both earned scholarships to compete at the highest level, reflecting Roger’s lifelong passion for the sport and commitment to helping athletes reach their full potential.
